Football Frontier

Welcome to the Football Frontier, a new web site presenting statistics, team ratings and articles based on professional and college football.

Solecismic Software first opened its doors in 1998. We're primarily known for our Front Office Football series of Windows-based football simulations. Our professional football simulation, Front Office Football, was first released in the fall of 1998, and has been released in six different versions. At one time, it was published by EA Sports. The most recent version was released in the fall of 2006.

Our college football simulation, The College Years, was first released in 2001. Both games have been nominated for many year-end awards by various publications. We have free demo versions of each game.

The Football Frontier is the newspaper side of Solecismic Software.

Pro Football Ratings

Beginning with the 2007 Season, we are expanding our ratings system to the NFL gridiron. The Pro Football Ratings section contains the ratings, predictions for each game, both straight-up and against the spread, schedules, results and statistics. Later in the season, we'll include a breakdown of playoff scenarios.

NFL Statistical Analysis

For the last three seasons, we have published a series of statistics focused on the passing game in the NFL. The Pro Football Analysis section will break down individual performances in the NFL, based on compiling results from every play of every game. This should be most useful for fantasy league participants. We're leaving the statistics for the 2006 season up until the first week of games is finished for this season.

College Football Ratings

Since the 1997 season, before there even was a company, we have published a college football ratings system, and are expanding it for the 2007 season. The College Football Ratings section also contains the ratings, predictions for each game, both straight-up and against the spread, schedules, results, standings and statistics.

Football Blog

Our Football Frontier Blog will feature articles about whatever interests us in the professional and college football world. Look for opinion pieces as well as topics going beyond the numbers presented in the statistics.
